FIRE IN THE SKY

THERE'S A FIRE IN THE SKY
A LIGHT DANCING UP ABOVE
TOO SOON TO TURN AND WONDER WHY
THE WAVES OF THE SEASHORE ARE UP IN THE SKY

A SINGLE TONE WE CANNOT FIND
ALL WE CAN DO IS CHANGE OUR MIND
ALL THE SPACES IN BETWEEN
NEVER A SECOND TO BE WHAT WE HAVE SEEN

CONCRETE AND CLAY - BOULDERS AND ROCKS
SITTING IN BETWEEN THE HANDS OF A CLOCK
OUTSIDE THEY'RE TURNING A BLIND EYE
BUT UP THERE - THERE'S A FIRE IN THE SKY

COLOURS OF THE SPECTRUM - COLOURS JOINING TO WHITE
SOMEONE'S SAYING THAT THEY'VE SEEN THE LIGHT
HIGH ABOVE IN A PLACE WE'VE NEVER BEEN
IS A NEW WORLD THAT'S ONLY A DREAM

CLING TO THE SOUND THAT'S INSIDE YOUR HEART
TURN AROUND SLOWLY - YOU'RE MAKING A START
THE SOUND IS DEEP - DEEP DOWN INSIDE
SOON YOU'LL FIND THERE'S NO PLACE TO HIDE

SO WE'RE DREAMING - THAT'S WHAT YOU SAY
COME BACK TOMORROW - THAT'S ANOTHER DAY
COME BACK TO THE FUTURE THE PAST IS FORGOTTEN
WHERE YOU ARE NOW IS YOUR DECISION

THERE'S CONCRET AND CLAY - BOULDERS AND ROCKS
SITTING IN BETWEEN THE HANDS OF A CLOCK
OUTSIDE THEY'RE TURNING A BLIND EYE
BUT UP THERE - THERE'S A FIRE IN THE SKY
